Top Honors for Camden Yards

New York Post writer Ken Davidoff has named Oriole Park at Camden Yards the top ballpark in Major League Baseball. From the article:

What are the criteria? The aesthetics of the park, with extra points for originality. The views. The neighborhood. The food. The general vibe.

1. Orioles Park Camden Yards, Baltimore

The game-changer. I love the warehouse in right field, the outfield walkway on Eutaw Street … pretty much everything.

Betamore News

Federal Hill technology incubator and technology campus Betamore was recently featured on ABC2 In Focus. Co-Founder Greg Cangialosi spoke about their facility and the growing technology industry in Baltimore.

Scare for Spencer Horsman

Federal Hill magician and escape artist Spencer Horsman of Illusions Magic Bar recently had a scare when he blacked out during a rehearsal for “The Supernaturalist” with Criss Angel performing an escape from a “water torture cell.” From ABC News:

“I’m locked under 25 feet worth of chain over a dozen padlocks and handcuffs,” Horsman told ABC News. “I only had two locks left and I think I was around the four-minute mark.”

As Horsman was close to unlocking himself in the cell, suspended 30-feet in the air, he blacked out.

Horsman, who has asthma, said he simply pushed his body too far.

“It was more so I guess my ego and wanting to push the envelope and go longer, instead of signaling for help that, hey, I may not make it,” Horsman said.

The headliner of the show, Angel, rushed on stage to rescue Horsman, jumping on top of the tank to help pry it open as the tank was lowered down to the stage.
